We need to do a POTN ultimate fighter cage match challenge. Lewis vs. Carshop would be a nice match up. BaseballPhotographer vs. ITZBITZHAIR...

Stop bye my house and pick me up on your way. After the a-kicking, well go get In-n-Out burger, win or lose.

You have to travel right through Indiana so be sure and stop and pick me up as well. In-and-Out Burger, beers and some fists-a-flyin sounds like a great road trip.

ITZBITZHAIR - hahahahahahahaha - What a funny flashback. I bet ITZ already has five Mk IV's on order, based on input from the consultant of course.

Hmmm my 1DMKII is having similar results with the 300 f2.8 IS too. It used to be sharp and now alot of blurry shots.

Anyone knows if the Silver CPS vouchers can cover this fix?

I am in NW Ohio so pick me up!! Need to get the heck out of Dodge so road trip, beer, burgers, fists, etc. sounds great. What else do we need?? Hope you have a big vehicle for everyone. Want me to bring the camera, no one mentioned pictures of the trip? RAD

I have plenty of vacation time and a big 'ol SUV to carry a couple of us. How about a road trip to Las Vegas? It is the venue for fights!

Well scott it seems like you are not the only one that is dealing with this.. I am seeing these symptoms with my 1dmkIIn and 300 2.8 IS... I am going to do some good tests and see if my camera/lens combo is front focusing.. it would seem that it is... darn.. I guess Ill just have to test everything wont I? lol

Scott I was having the same issues and took mine to Canon. They said the jigamawidjet (not sure exactly what it was) was off and re-calibrated it. It has been solid ever since. It cost $180 + shipping but with CPs it was $126 with free shipping. Also if you can get your subject to stand still it will help.

This is my best guess too Scott.

Scott,

hey can you see if your lens was missing focus entirely or if it was just front focusing predetermined..

It seemed to be missing focus entirely Dave. Reloaded the firmware and it seems much much better. Im still sending the body in though since I think it could use it and that way I'll be sure.
