AF Servo issue, any help guys/ladies?

gotcha... well my lens/body is at canon but I have yet to get an email saying they have recieved it... I called and they said I should hear something by 10pm and if I dont call back tomorrow.. My bet is that if I dont, then UPS didnt put the CPS sticker on the OUTSIDE of the box lol

well... both hopefully... i mean i could care less if they sent the 300 back early because that wont come in handy in this case... heck its goign to be in a back yard... my first wedding lol

So I wanted to update you all on my repair stuff from canon... I sent in the 300 and 1d to get fixed. I recieved an email telling me that the 1d would be fixed under warrenty.. WOOT... but the 300 would cost 168. I think that is the cost to have it recalibrated with the body.. who knows.. Ill call probably tommorow and find out when i approve/unapprove it.. I figure since I sent it in, I might as well get it back perfect... what do you all think?

If they can identify a fault, I'd be getting it fixed. Actually, I think it would probably be worth that just for a clean and calibration.

My vote is go for it :D

so as promised I told you all I would keep you updated as things progressed. I called canon today and the reason they said that it was going to be 168.00 was because they replaced the whole lens mount!! and the rubber mount. They said it will be like I have all new electronics inside the lens... So we shall see what happens when I get it back lol.
