While shooting soccer this sunny day, I felt my 70-200 f2.8 lens and it was nice & cool. The 1D-II body, on the other hand was fairly warm.

I like the looks of black better but I'd stick with white for heat reasons.

How about you? If you could get those white L's in black, would you?

Sheesh, I can't spell. Mods, the title should have begun "White L ..." rather than "While L ..."

Can you correct?

Maybe they can make the black with a pink parasol attachment for use in the sun.

If it was a purely aesthetic choice? Black.

The off-white paintjob is almost gaudy in my eyes.

How about a brushed/polished option?

Imagine a "raw" magnesium L. Of course it would be clear coated.

What I can't understand is that most photographers will choose a black camera body over a silver body because they look more "professional" and cool..

But if they have a choice with lenses they go for white because white looks more "professional"..

BTW,,all my lenses are black..
