im guessing you were using the 70-200 with the 2x? the reason I ask is because your photos are oof and washed out.

EDIT: just saw 200 2.8... it seems like you cropped to much or you didnt do something correct..

no convertor, just crappy compression. I mean how do you display a good pic when the requirements are 150kb max, it seems impossible for me. My originals are fantastic.

# 1 is a very cool shot, I love he contrast of colors great job

Try hosting them on photobucket or somesuch site.

If you use Photoshop here is a suggestion to improve their appearance at the serious size reduction required to post here.

Open the file in Photoshop.
Click on Image then Image Size.
Change the resolution to 72 then change the width to 800 and click OK.
Apply any USM or other sharpening you want after you have resized.
Click on File then Save As and give it whatever name you want and click on Save.
On the next screen drag the quality slider to the left until the file size that is displayed on the right just below the preview check box is less than 150k. For me this is usually a quality setting of 7-10 depending on the photo.

These should look very close to your originals when posted here. 800 pixels is more than enough.

You are welcome. Those look MUCH better but sure are depressing. I live about 1,000 miles from the nearest ocean and even then, the waves and water don't look like that.

Wow, very nice.

I like the shots and the colors. If I had one gripe it would be that I know at surf competitions part of the judging is not just how well you ride, but the wave you chose to ride. Looks like these waves weren't exactly photo worthy, but when you can't see the bottom of the wave you can't tell how high the dude's air is.
