Interesting section of the forum to ask this in, but no you should not. It is designed to cover a full frame lens so it should have no trouble covering the 1.6x crop sensor in the t1i. The issue is that it will not be very "fishy" on the t1i. You may look into the Samyang or Rokinon fisheyes intead, as well as the Peleng for full fisheye effect on your camera.

Samyang, Bower, Falcon, Polar, Rokinon 8mm fisheye which are all the same or the Vivitar 7mm which I believe is also the same optics, just slightly different build and markings.

Are you looking for a circular fisheye or diagonal?? For another 100-150 you could find a Tokina 10-17 which IMO are totally killer...or for a circular FE, the Peleng gets my vote.

since im new to photography im not sure what i should be looking for,
im going to be taking pictures of people and cars mostly with the fisheye lens i choose.
and yes ive looked into the tokina fisheye and its quite impressive but it was way out of my budget. I just need a fisheye lens without vignetting for $300 and under.

thanks for your replys

If you're expecting the "fisheye" look with the Zenitar on your crop camera, you will be disappointed.

Are those pictures shot on a Full Frame or 1.6 Crop?

The Opteka 6.5mm is another Vivitar 7mm/Samyang 8mm clone. They are all made by the parent company SAKAR.

And they are actually closer to 10mm. (I did a test of my Vivitar Series 1 7mm to my Peleng 8mm, the Peleng was wider.)
