Hello. I have a Canon XS with 18-55 IS lens. Im looking to add another lens for some zoom to take pictures of my childs activities and family gatherings. Is the Tamron 28-300 3.5-6.3 a good lens to add? Or should i stick with the Canon 55-250 IS? Im not looking to spend a ton of money just yet and would like to get some opinions. Thanks:)

Canon XS, kit lens 18-55, Tamron 28-300, Lowepro Adventura 140.

you can ask in the lens section but I would stick with the 18-55IS and 55-250 for the best image quality

You may want to take a look at the 70-200 f4 L if you are able to swing it. They are running at around $600 and are one of the sharpest zooms Canon makes.
