I am having a problem with my 5D focusing. The problem happens with different lenses and those same lenses work just fine using a different camera. The autofocus is moving the lens in and out - it's hunting, and the images are no good. I am lucky that there is a Canon Repair Center in Calgary - so it is only a 2 hour drive for me.
I have attached 2 images - #1 is out of focus yet the very next one is o.k.

I have had this problem with the 24 - 105 and the 17-40.

Thanks for checking and if you have any suggestions other than take it to Canon - they would be greatly appreciated!!!

Is the camera set to anything other than One Shot ? How many focus points are active ?

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

I think Canon may have closed their repair centre, doublecheck before trekking here...
