I connected my XSI to my tv with the video cord and it doesn't display anything on the television. The LCD screen on my camera goes black and I hit the play button but then no pictures are displayed...the televisions shows "no signal".

I bought my camera from amazon back in july I believe. It is very sad :(
Is this covered by the warranty?

And yes.... it is set to NTSC :)

I doubt it's the camera, you probably need to cycle through the tv's output choice (like there's AV1, AV2, HDMI1, HDMI2 etc..)

1)Plug cable into camera's 1/8" mini-jack.
2)Plug other end of cable into the Aux video input (RCA/phono) on the front of my TV.
3)Turn on TV.
4)Turn on camera.
5) On TV, press Channel button until I get Aux #2.
6)Enjoy photos on TV :)

Describe the cable(s) you are using! There are many that will fit into a 1/8 " jack but not all will carry video to the right RCA/phono.

I plug the black end into my camera. I go to to television ...

VIDEO 1
YELLOW WHITE RED

I plug the other end to the yellow input of the television.

I change the input on the television to VIDEO 1.

I turn on my camera. (LCD IS BLACK)

Hit the playback button.

Nothing happens. TV displays no signal.
