Could be better but the cuteness overshadows the eye-blur.

Not up to standard, Skygod! But you might get away with it.

Both eyes not in focus...but did I get away with it?

Hey all.

Here's a shot from a baby-shoot that I really hoped would be "ok" for the client.

What do you think? Does the overall "cuteness" cover up the issue with the slightly OOF eye?

I'm doing this as a poll, simply because it's easier than commenting, unless you feel like it.

Cheers!

Simon

The bottom line is whether or not the client loved it.

If I had to choose which eye to get in focus, I would pick the one closer to the camera. When I viewed your image, that's the first one at which I looked.

Ditto to that for me. Have you considered just doing some selective sharpening on her right eye? Depending on the final output (print size I presume) it may squeak you by if you sharpen her right eye and leave her left eye as is.

It all depends on the viewing/print size. On my 24" monitor at 1920x1200 both eyes look in focus. On a lower resolution screen the image might appear bigger and focus differences may be visible.

View it at the size it would be printed and that'll be your gauge for how it will look printed. Maybe you're viewing it at 100% view but then posting it here at a much smaller size.

Hey all, thanks for the feedback.

I did, in the end, do some selective sharpening and a tiny bit of blurring on the eyes so that they both looked about the same. That, for me, did the trick and the client cried....which meant they were happy - not sad!!!!

Cheers for now!

The selective sharpening helps a lot.

Agree. Also agree that some high radius sharpening to the area of the said eye is in order.

Extremely cute shot of a cute kid. :) I know how it feels haha. It would be awesome to get this working, cause everything else is good; best'o'luck. ;)

I am Henry. NOT Hank. And certainly not a length of rope tied in a knot. ;)
My family calls me Hen, but you can call me Chicken. See you out there!
