That pesky "cool" emote needs to be set straight. He thinks it's appropriate to display himself every time someone uses parentheses in the lens forum. This little yellow imp wrecks havoc on anyone who tries to mention a f/2.8 lens in an afterthought, and people no longer can use

(f/2*.8 )
Yes, he's indeed very cool. His sunglasses are all the proof we need of that. However, I think it's time we considered editing the forum scripts so those who wish to use him need to type something more to summon his presence. Maybe something as simple as

8-)
will work.

Thanks for your time and attention in this gravest of concerns.

that's a nifty trick you have there.. i'll have to remember it, although i don't think i'm going to enjoy remembering to type all of that out whenever i want to use it. ;)

Or even easier, just remember to type a space between the '8' and the ')'.

(f/2.8 ). No one will really care about the extra space being there, I've done this lots of times in the past.

haha, but you have to admit.. (f/2.8) is so much more commonly used on a photography forum like POTN than the  is used. i think most people click on the smilies menu to the side anyways when they want to use obscure sunglasses-clad emotes.

i think it's probably a really easy fix to make the script "8-)" or "B-)" whilst making some posts less silly. hahaha, it's a minor little thing that has bothered me ever since i joined these forums. ;)
