Youth Soccer from Saturday

Finally had a chance to sit down and process these. Early on I was shooting with the Mark IIn, 1.4tc and 400mm at F5, 2nd half of the game I was shooting Mark IIn, 400mm at 3.2 to 3.5.

All great shots, and I love the bokeh as well. #3 takes the cake.

I don't know if its my monitor, but they all look a little overexposed. I know direct sunlight is very difficult shooting soccer, and getting people out of the background is almost impossible. The 400/5.6 looks like a great lens for this purpose though.

I just printed them out as is, and it came out perfect match from my monitor to print. So exposure is correct

Some fine 'u-young' soccer images Matt.

Man, between the small players and that 400mm focal length, you can get some incredible BG separation.

Yes the 400mm F2.8 is just awesome at that...when the light is right it really does create special images.

That background separation makes such a huge difference. I've got to get myself a 2.8 zoom.
