30D Overexposure at High Shutter Speeds (need help ASAP!)

I've been using a 30D for sports photography, but a couple of days ago used it for an indoor reunion event. I packed it up and took it with me the next day for a baseball shoot and every time I tried to crank up the ISO settings and shutter speeds it would overexpose BADLY. I've gone back and tried every setting adjustment I can find, even cleared ALL camera settings and started over and the same thing is happening.
If I shoot at a slow shutter speed the colors and contrast are perfect. As soon as I move it up past 1/1250 or so it overexposes the picture, almost white across the print.
Any clue what I've done? HELP???

You're shooting in Tv I suppose. What apertures are you ending up with?

At 1600 ISO and 1/2500 with kit lens (18-55) the aperture was 5.6

and are you sure you havent adjusted the exposure compensation for over exposure by accident?

Unfortunately I haven't been able to post ANYTHING since moving from PS 3 to PS7. Don't know what the parameters have to be to post on the forum anymore, haven't put one up in about a year.
Can you give me a clue what you think might be causing the overexposures at high shutter speeds? I'm kind of up against the wall time-wise with this malfunction...

lets start with...what exposure mode are you shooting in?

If I shoot inside with the same settings the image is viewable, almost great even without a flash. Take it outside where I will need the extra ISO and shutter speeds and it's a white-out.
Is it possible that this is somehow a White Balance issue? I have adjusted for sunlight, shade, tungsten, flourescent, etc. and nothing makes this any better.

About at hair pulling stage here!

If you had shots at those settings ISO 1600, 1/2500 at f/5.6 that is +2 2/3 stops over sunny 16, so yes your shots will be overexposed. If you're in Tv at the very least the camera should stop the aperture down to about f/14. And that's if you're shooting in full midday sun.

Please post some shots with exif.

Shooting in TV at ISO1600 at 1/1250 and keep getting 5.6 aperture. Any suggestions?
I hate to post this thread and abandon ship but I absolutely have to leave in a few minutes for work.
I'll get back on as soon as possible to read any suggestions or possible solutions to what I've done to this camera. I'm pretty sure it's working well but I've done something moronic in the settings mode and can't figure it out.

Originally you wrote 1/2500 but now you wrote 1/1250.

If you're sure you don't have EC dialed in to the max it sounds like the aperture is not working correctly.

i am betting on positive exposure compensation.

You sure you're not on spot metering?
