Maxpreps Turnaround Time

Anyone know how long it generally takes maxpreps to either approve/deny your submission? Also understand you can provide 6 images or have a direct link to a gallery that can have 6 or more images. Is this correct ?

Were you recruited by anyone? If so they can speed up the process.

Did you include night football with flash in your gallery, I was told that is now a requirement.

This is their busiest time of the year, so it may be a little longer then usual.

Wow really? That's weird if it is a requirement. Alot of photogs don't shoot football at night. They shoot volleyball, baseball and other sports.

To the OP's question, it can take up to a week or more. You can email them directly and ask.

Yes, well I looked at his gallery before my sugesstion and he does cover night football. I was told when applying if you use football, basketball or volleyball in your aplication they must be examples with flash.

I was wondering this very same thing I submitted two weeks ago tomorrow and have yet to here anything. How long ago did you apply?
I don’t normally shoot with flash but I did submit some with and with out as well as some flashed wrestling and high school comp cheer flashed and not.
I guess if this is there busy time that may explain it I thought maybe with the whole espn/cbs transition thing may be affecting it too.
I did shoot some HS JV flash football tonight just to keep in practice I think I will do more of it if that’s what they want I may as well get used to it and dial it in.

Yea, Football Season This would be the worst time to apply - they are so busy right now. FWIW also get used to using a flash and strobes

Turns out about 2 weeks, got my acceptence letter today.

Sorry guys I have been busy shooting games and forgot to get back here. Still working on getting my test gallerys submitted, as soon as I do I will post the link and it will be in my sig also probably.
Clarence, I submitted about half and half for my first gallery.I did not use a link I uploaded the required files to the site directly. I have not done alot of flashed football as I always liked to shoot ambient, so I am trying to build my galleries and work the learning curve.

Jeff, Your MaxPreps gallery looks great! Were the photo`s you submitted all from the same game? Also I see they would like to have photos from alot of different sports. Did you send a mix of sports? I ask because I`m working on my photos for acceptance so any advice is appriceated.

Thanks for the compelments. My intial photos were a varity of things. 3 Football 1 softball, 1 baseball, 1 wrestling. half were flashed. Everything since will be football untill I can get in some volleyball and then Bball.
