I don't think the G2 has that feature.
Just open the Metedata file on the partcular image and check the time it was shot. Then use your PhotoShop or whatever Photo edit program you have and type in on.
You can choose whatever type/color you want the font to be then!

Yes - use the program Breezebrowser www.breezesys.com (external link)

You can use the proofing ability of the program to regenerate your photos with text on them, including various parts of your photos EXIF data (including date the photo was shot). It is very fast and very flexible.

Canon's own Easy-Photo-Print that comes with G2 will let you do this.

This is the easiest to use Date Stamp software available. I have been looking for something also and Thumbs Plus just was too cumbersome. The cost is realatively cheap and you can download a trial version to see if you like it. Once in the trial version or registered version go to Applications--Time/Date Stamp. You can choose to do all files within a folder so once you download the files you can move them to a folder, then click the Start button. I love to have the date stamp on my snapshots, I paid the $19.00 just to use the date/time stamp feature of this software alone. Also Tech Support for the program is great and updates are free. Hope this helps!
