Can anybody give a quicke leson on photo collages please, because i have a wedding to do in July and have been impressed with some wedding shots i've seen in the past where you get the Bride and Groom on a Champagne glass or a music sheet or a shot of the ceremony inside and then the happy couple looking down onto the ceremony, but anything like that would be great?

Thanks anyway.

You should have really posted this question over in the "Talk About Photography" section more than here. I'm not sure how many people would shoot a wedding with a G series camera. I know I wouldn't!

If you're interested in another kind of collage -- a collection of images placed into one print -- try FOTOFUSION by Lumapix. (http://www.lumapix.com (external link)). It is very popular with Scrapbookers and now being used by Pro wedding photographers.

The program is very easy to use and the output is just stunning!
More info and examples....

Yeah, I would love to master this in Photoshop, but who has time for that anymore!

That Lumapix software looks very promising gardenstate.
Have you used it or do you know how much it costs??

Fotofusion costs $40-$300 USD depending upon version and desired features
I have used it for MANY collages and it is just incredible due to its ease of use.
The Autocollage function to quickly resize and distribute a batch of images is really nice.
I typically make 8x10" prints at 150 dpi for output on a Fuji 1 hour minilab at a local Sam's Club. The quality is outstanding!!

Here is one example of a collage I made using Fotofusion with a border added in Paint Shop Pro 9.

from a coworker who is familiar with Adobe Photoshop...merge image layers, opacity changing

"How could you use Photoshop to make a blended picture of a bride and groom onto a glass of champaign? merge layers with a reduced picture of the wedding couple with a modification of opacity?"

"definitely merge the images of the bride and groom first, before lowering opacity, or you will get funky results where the two overlap. You can also put the champagne glass as a layer on top of the couple and lower the opacity of that instead."
