But won't you have to take the film to a local processor to get those snapshot prints? Couldn't you just take the G9 memory card to that local processor instead?
Yes, I would have to (although I walk past one on the way back from dropping my daughter off at school) If I take a roll of film in I'm generally happy with what I get back, whenever I have taken digital files in though I'm always disapointed. Dark, flat, horrible prints! I know that this is their issue because I take those files somewhere else and I get better prints but still not as good as I know they should be.
I will put my hands up here to being incredibly fussy
I started my working life in a one hour photo lab and then went on to pro-lab printing.

If you don't want to process your shots, don't. Shoot Jpeg in your favorite picture style, delete the ones that suck, and have the ones that don't printed. You can even upload them to an online printer and they can mail them to you within a few days. No need to leave the house. That's what my MIL does. I bet she has never even opened a photo editor in her life.
Again, the inner fussiness in me takes over......I don't have to PP but if I can I will. Actually it's not so much the PP, I'm getting quicker now but then it's all the backing up palaver and storing files.
I have just sent a load off to photobox and I'll see how they come out. Meanwhile I'll check out ebay for a Contax maybe and see what I can find.
Thanks again,
Lizzy
