MP3 playing software and a headphone jack. Especially with more PJ style shooting when I'm not interacting with my subject, I like to have my mp3 player and headphones on to tune out outside noise and focus on the photography. Having software in the camera would mean one less thing (ipod or other machine) to fiddle with/bring on a shoot.

Please please no. I want them to focus every engineering dollar on the camera. That is the last thing I want to pay for.

Take the video out and concentrate on building better DSLR cameras instead of trying to be all things to all people.
I know its not "in the camera" but I'd love to see some parity in lens development between the regular EF lens line and the EF-S models. As a 1D series user the EF-S lenses are useless to me and its more than a bit disappointing to see the majority of new lens offerings being introduced as EF-S models only.
Yes, I know the market share of the cameras that can use the EF-S lenses is much larger but Canon does have a substantial pro base out there that use the EF lenses only, how about remembering them a little more often?

Other than the UWA's I can't think of how they have left out the 1D users. All the new EF-S lenses are just trying to give the crop cameras back what the full frame shooters always had.

mini lcd in the viewfinder to get rid of the mirror mechanism. I guess it won't be called a SLR then.

The new mini Mp3 players are so tiny. Just glue one to the side of your camera if you want an all in one! :)

Thinking about it, you could just use an ipod shuffle and clip it to your camera strap.

A larger sensor but with the same ef mount, ok so maybe we loose a bit of dof but could gain in iq and dynamic range. You dont see too many mf system below 2.0 anway...

To be honest, it's just like the video thing. It would take Canon about the money and time it takes to burp to implement something like mp3 playing.

Every piece of tech in todays world is crossing into multimedia. That will continue to be the big selling point for anything tech today. Geeks want it, and companies are starting to realize that there are a hell of a lot of geeks out there.

With money.

I used to use the MLU routinely for school portraits with the old medium format cameras back in the day. You could set up on the kid, MLU, then standby for exactly the right moment with a shutter release cord. Almost instantaneous. I would like that on my camera.
