Hey, I recently upgraded from a Crop-body to a Fullframe 5D, so I sold my 17-55mm IS lens. All I have left is the 50mm f1.4, which is also a great lens, but I would like a zoom similar to the 17-55mm I had. My budget is around 900 dollars. Any recommendation?

really depends on what you plan to shoot... alot of light? dim light? ... i would say go for the 24-70mm f2.8... should be about the same focal length as the 17-55 u had... 24-105mm f4IS would be my other suggestion, though shooting at night is troublesome.

The EF 24-105L will give you everything on FF that the 17-55 gave you on 1.6X and a little more.

Ring USM
IS
A little wider AOV on the wide end (24mm vs 27mm effective AOV)
A little longer AOV on the long end (105mm vs. 88mm effective AOV)
Better flare resistance
Slightly shallower DOF for the same framing when used wide open.

I use a Canon 5DIII and a Sony A7rIII

how about 24-70mm Sigma EX HSM DG?

Ive read and seen some sample pics, and its a pretty good lens. But i think comparing IQ with the sig and 17-55, the 17 is better. To keep or surpass the IQ, the canon 24-70mm is your best bet. As for the canon 24-105mm, its a super lens, but the only hiccup for that lens is its not as wide (f4) so shooting at night of moving objects is tuff.

Another lens you may want to look into is the tamron 28-75mm, it produces nice colors and pretty sharp.

No, that's why I wrote "If", and then trailed off to nothingness! Some people might not want the 24-70 with no IS; some might find the 70mm limit to be constraining; some people might not like the max aperture of the 24-105mm.
