Put this stump up next to the water hole for the birds, and a Chipmunk came by to check it out. I had some peanuts on it last week, maybe he found them. I'm sitting in a chair blind about 25 feet from the stump. These guys out in the woods are really skittish. This is the first time I've been this close to one by the water hole. I love this blind!

Thanks Stuart...Got lucky that the little guy jumped up there, usually they run to the water, drink and leave quickly.

Great shot, Steve. I saw about a kazillion chipmunks at one refuge last Saturday, couldn't get a single shot off, they're so fast and skittish.

Nice exposure, sharp image, great Bokeh and the nut shell on the stump adds more to the image, too.

What do you have for a blind, Steve? It seems to be working for you. Nice shot.

Thanks Stan, I bought a chair blind from cabellas for about $79. Has a nice camp chair connected to the blind, all sets up in about 1 minute. Large enough for a tripod in front of you. 4 vent flaps on the sides with screens to let in air. Front opening zips to desired openness. I like it.....photo for you following this post.:D

Nice chipmunk shot and blind Steve, I have the same one, just waiting for it to cool down a little, it gets warm in there as you no doubt know.
