This is my miniature pincher Kodak. We got him from the SPCA. We started out fostering him but no one was lining up to take him home so we adopted him. We dont know what happened to him. I think it looks like someone has poured acid on his back. He is a good dog and now has a good home. I wish I knew who did this to him. If I did I would pour acid down their back =P

Camera: Canon 40D
Lens: Asahi 50mm 1.4
Lighting: One to the right behind and one in front.

He got tired =D

Nice shots. If I was gonna be picky, I'd say crop a little looser to leave a little more room (left side of #1, right side of #2.

There's a story out of Chicago this afternoon about a dog fighting ring that got busted. I really hope there's a special place in hell for those people.

He's sweet. I've seen scars like this on a dog before, it was in a house fire. Hopefully your boys scars weren't deliberate, that's an awful thing to contemplate.
Your little fella is pretty pudgy, .......but lovely all the same.

I hope it was just a house fire but he was left at the spca tied to a bench so I dont think someone that really cared would do that.

Anyway im getting nothing about the image and just stories about other animals that have been hurt. Id like some critique other than the background is too busy. Many people have told me that and suggested white which I dont have at the moment so im looking into getting some.

He's looking pretty healthy and is someone took the time to bring him to the SPCA maybe it's not as bad as one can imagine.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Ya we have had him for a while and feed him well. I should have done this when we first got him he was skin and bones.

Good on you for adopting him. I work with dogs in the New Leash On Life program at our prison, where inmates train shelter dogs for new homes. We've seen some pretty messed-up dogs come through our camp. Even these inmates, many of whom have done awful things in their lives, can't believe how cruel some people can be to a defenseless animal. The good new is that, with patience and training, the dogs recover pretty quickly. Hope everything works out with yours.

We need more people like you to help adopt all the animals in shelters instead of buying from puppy mills.
