Well, having a look at the last few pages it looks like it turned more into a rant thread. Perhaps the Mods thought all that could be said that is constructive has been said and decided to close it.

I'd say it was a combination of people complaining about what other POTN members do (rather than specifically about photography) and then other POTN members taking that personally and reacting as such.
