Hmm..

It looks like a beautiful place. Very serene. A couple of comments.

1) I have this incredible urge to push the image down, to see what is over the waterfall. Perhaps it is cropped just a little bit much on the top. Maybe we could take the shot at about the same height as the waterfall, looking upstream. Make the crest of the waterfall on the top-third of the picture, with the camera just above the crest, pointing down.

2) I wonder if a polorizing filter would bring the greens out a little (not sure, since it is in the shade).

3) Have you considered some perspective shots? For example, at the bottom of the waterfall looking up, at an angle.

4) The only problem with the waterfall, is that the viewer isn't given anything difficult. The picture is...a waterfall. Nothing is left up to the imagination. Perhaps a shot where the waterfall is the background, not the direct subject. How about a fallen tree, or resting wildlife. In fall, I bet this would have some great shots.

5) What is in the darkened areas of the waterfall? Looks kind of spooky. Like there is some kind of tunnel there. It would be kind of neat to put a soft light of some kind (waterproof flashlight) under the water, beneath the falls. Take a long exposure near sunset or dawn. You get the spooky "something's alive" look.

6) Another perspective might be in a tree, above the falls, following the river down and over the falls. You need to get high enough to see that there is a falls.

Mike
