FWIW:

The September 28 issue of TV Guide has a photo of Jorja Fox of CSI holding a Rebel (can't make out the model) with a 18-55 IS kit lens and Ringlite. Lucky Rebel.;)

(Unfortunately, they use Nikons on the show.):(

Cool. (probably wrong section to post this though)

What would be interesting to see is whether Nikon does anything about it. I can only assume the use of Nikon cameras in the show is not a coincidence, deliberate product placement. Then again, if the TV Guide cover is more about Joria Fox (and not so much about the show), then too bad for Nikon. :D

Is Jorja still on the show? I thought she left, save for a guest appearance when the Grissom character met her in the jungle.

It's an EOS digital camera, so I think it belongs here.;)

My guess is that it was the backup for the session photographer hired by TV Guide.

(Fox is returning to the show for a few episodes, at least.)

So, since Grissom is no longer there, maybe she'll take up with his replacement - Willows
