Drove by Grant's Farm, in St. Louis, MO, yesterday and had to stop and take some shots of these elk. So close to the fence, but still hidden from most of the traffic. Thanks for looking.

I thought I was going to lose them when I crashed through the brush to the fence. (I say crashed because there was no sneaking up on these guys even as quiet as I was trying to be.) They all stood up for a second, but, thankfully, sat back down and let me watch for awhile. Best wildlife shots I have taken so far.

Straightening...lol. Every time I straighten the horizon, I hang the picture crooked.

would love to. the few times we've been, the bison are nowhere to be found, and the elk are so far up in shaded trees, i don't have a fast enough lens to get them. all i got were birds and hilltop shots, which are fun, but i want the animals...lol.

i will have to go back, though, now that the weather has cooled off a bit. do you have any you would like to share for encouragement? would love to see them.
