non 1 series that is... ;)

I've seen the complaint come up a few times about non 1 series not supporting bracketing over 3 stops. Yes Nikons do this in their bodies, but that doesn't help most canon shooters. Anyway, there's an "easy" way to get 6 shots with ALL canon bodies I thought I'd share for those who want it and haven't figured it out on their own yet...

Use 1 stop bracketing (3 images each 1 stop apart).
Fire off your first set centered at -1.5EV.
Fire off your second set centered at +1.5EV. (+ or - first doesn't matter)

This will get you -2.5, -1.5 and -.5 from the first set and then .5, 1.5 and 2.5 from your second set. If you really NEED 7 images and want to have 0EV as one of them, do both sets I mention at +/-2EV and then shoot the non compensated image yourself (getting you -3, -2, -1 in one set, 1, 2 and 3 in the second, and finally 0).
