First time out in six months

And look what showed up!! GBH must have been sleepy as i was able to get within 20ft in a camoe jacket and jeans, obviously i didn't walk right up i had to sneaked around some bushes but it worked. Light was kind of low so i had to shoot ISO1600 and 3200.
C&C requested and appreciated.

#1 had a little shiver

Maybe next time, bring him a fish. :)

Very nice for that high an ISO. I can never get them to look that good.

Nice shots! The first one is about the 'goofiest' look I've seen on a bird, hilarious.

Beautiful series of this wonderful bird....I would love to see one. It has to be a lot of fun observing them while they fish and hunt! Excellent shots!

Thanks Kraig, I usually end up blurry too, but this time I tried to keep the shutter speed at least the same as focal length and used the mono pod. And a whole bunch of luck:)

Damn that 5DII is fine at 3200.

Thanks Daros, I ended up taking the 50D back and upgrading to the 5DmkII. Gave up some on the frames per but gained huge on the quality at higher ISO.
