so tonight they had a scrim and I was invited to go shoot... well it turns out they had seen some of my college/high school stuff and I will be shooting for them for the rest of the season... pretty cool shooting for a professonal team alone.. anyway.. this was my first time shooting rugby but i play gaelic football so I kind of had an Idea of what is going on. Feel free to give me any advice on the whole rugby thing because im really looking forward to shooting this.

I didnt move around too much because where they did the scrim at was on a college campus (they are starting to branch out to start teams at the universities in the area), needless to say the field was surrounded by a couple buildings and thus clean backgrounds were hard to come by..

These are straight out the camera and cropped... some contrast.

All of them are fine, but #1 is just so sweet... It kinda steals the thunder from the rest of the set. Very nice capture. You might raise the levels a bit on 6,7,8 ? Maybe just a touch on the midtones. Good work Dave.

I love rugby and wish there was some played close to me. I played some club rugby back in the day and just loved it. If they ask you to go have beers with them, be careful and don't let them talk you into headbutting. :-)

Nice shots for your first time out. Enjoy the season with them.
