Using coupon code DSLR10 at checkout, you get 10% off up to $50 off "while funds last." This deal goes through September 30th.

Basically, save $50. Have fun!

What many people don't know in the retail business they usually "up" or raise the price of the sale items in question. I looked at the 5dmk2 and at the time the price is $2,749.00. Now its not the case with most items but with some and in this case the regular MSRP from canon is $2699.00 and it seems newegg.com has raised the price $50.00 to cover the promo code. If in fact that it would be an actual 10% off it would be $274.90 Off.

PS. I am not dissing/ranting on Newegg.com themselves. I love them I buy all my computer needs through them. I am ranting on retailers in General and how they like to pry on promo's yet raise the prices to cover that loss or margin at the time of sale or promotion.

Take anything in this post with a grain of salt as it is the 5dmk2 I only looked at and not anything else.

Newegg has been known to jack up their prices before a promotion/sale. They're become a big greedy business unlike yesteryear.

I just looked at the XSi w/ 18-55 IS. $619 so it doesn't appear they've pulled the stunt on the DSLR deal. This is a good deal for those looking for a Rebel class system.
