What is Color Space? What is the difference between Adobe RGB and sRGB?

If I'm not mistaken, Adobe RGB has a wider gamut of colors..........howeve​r, the pictures intially will not be as saturated as the sRGB.

OK, somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

if you shoot RAW it makes no difference, as you assign the color space at RAW processing time.
Adobe RGB indeed has a larger gamut of colors. If you shoot JPG, and plan on processing the photos in Photoshop I would used Adobe RGB and convert in the end to whatever color space (usually sRGB with most monitors and printers) your end device supports. But whatever you do, avoid making too many conversions from one color space to another, as there are losses in image data every time you do that.

If you produce prints, use Adobe. if you solely publish to the internet, use sRGB.

With the exception of very few printers, most do not support Adobe RGB images and will therefore convert on the fly to sRGB. Photoshop's conversion engine is far better than the printer driver or whatever point the change is made at, so why would you send and Adobe RGB image to the printer?
