canonloader Cream of the Crop More info | Sep 26, 2009 06:11 | #8 The real name for Pigeon is Rock Dove, and they do taste the same. In case times get bad, it's good to keep in mind, that any bird that eats only vegetation, will taste good. Fish, bug and meat eating birds will not. Carrion birds are simply unpalatable. Read that from a report made shortly after WW2 from downed airmen and other people who had to live off the land for long periods. Things like that tend to get lost in time, but I have always kept it in the back of my mind. Pass it on. Mitch- ____...^.^...____
