Your bird is a European Golden Plover. I agree the vignetting is very effective.

As always thank you for your help and kind comments. I usually resize my photos for posting on the net, the vignetting is another option to reduce file size, its quick to do in PS and at least I will not delete by mistake my master larger file and save the reduced file.
