This is from one of the newsroom cameras, a Nikon D70. This swiggly line shows up in some shots...looks to me like shutter failure...need opinions.

looks like a huge hair on the sensor.....with a whole lot of dirt on the sensor too...clean that sucker off!

Nope, doesn't look like shutter failure to me. Looks like a dirty sensor with a hair on it that needs a careful cleaning ;).

Yep, I just did mirror lockup, found a piece of hair...afraid to touch it. The thick plottens, however. There's this white line that's apparently on the sensor. What is it?

I would say bring it into a professional cleaning service and get it cleaned ASAP.

Or someone like the sensor so much that they stuck their "junk" in it and made a mess.:confused:

The hair should be easy to get out, but that white stuff...i dont know. Take it to a pro cleaner asap. hopefully that stuff hasnt hardened.
