I am looking for a really wide angle and I have narrowed it to 3. I need some help here, as I have searched the web and seen some reviews but afraid I might be either missing an alternative lens, or a common problem with one of them, I dunno. There aren't a whole lot of reviews (that I have seen) on these superwides. $600-$700 is a lot for me to spend so I want to get the most for the money.
So in order of MY perceived preference;
Tamron 11-18 f4.5-5.6 Di II LD AF ~ $560
Pro's: Lightweight, Tamron biased
Con's: smaller zoom than others
Sigma 12-24 f4.5-5.6 EX Asph DG HSM ~$570
Pro's: 122 degrees of view, more than the 103 from the tamron.
Con's: Heavy at 1 1/2 lbs comparitively
EF-S 10-22/3.5-4.5 USM ~$800
Pro's: Rave review's
Con's: Pricey, WAY pricey for a slight image quality difference??
Just can't decide, I think the Canon's high price puts this out of the running, unless I can be really convinced it's worth it. Basically it's the Tamron or the Sigma. I own a Tamron and happy, never had a Sigma.
Any and all imput appreciated
with those coupons.
haha
