Came across this on DPreview. I know it is in a league of its own, but of particular interest was the focusing system. http://www.dpreview.com …09/09092802hasselblad.asp (external link)

read about the true focus and aboslute position lock. Canon should read about it as well! enjoy the read...

Now THAT's genius !

And yes, Canon should read this. OK, looks like I'll skip the 7D. I didn't see this feature anywhere in the list .

Except this would be like saying Ford needs to incorporate features found in a Rolls Royce. ;)

Maybe ... but consider that what Hasselblad has done is apply well-known high-school math :). The idea behind the application is the genius.

Yeah, and you pay for it. I learned a long time ago to not even look at Leica, Mamiya, or Hassleblad equipment!

It would be so fun to shoot with one of those for a day!

Now that's a thought. Are there any companies who rent this type of high end MF gear?

I don't see that happening any time soon. When it does it will probably cost $32,000.00 like the Hasselblad.

Hasselblad should take a page out of canon's book and make a camera that cost under 2 grand.

I suck at Photoshop.

Of course... it will cost you close to the price of a mid-range canon body for a day, but you can rent them.

I should have Googled first. Adorama does rentals, you learn something new every day. $225 for one week with a Mamiya 645 kit. That might be fun but then I would want one.

Unless you really can afford it..or need it, there's no point to going to spend $225/week or 20 grand aside from satisfying your gear craving..for a short time

The truth is for what I do MF is way overkill. The only people I know with this type of equipment are pros and they really need some of this equipment.

You'd need a computer that can handle the 60 MP files.
