Here is Megan. Super sweet girl. Showed up for her session 1.5 hours early about 15 minutes after my husband and a few guys had ripped out our four story chimney. Oh, well.

The eyes look too drawn on, for my taste. Everything about the shots look great to me.

Ok, well...I guess it's good that they eyes look nice and sharp. I didn't do much of anything to them. Just a touch of sharpening and then my normal web sharp action.

Thanks though!

Nope. Just a large reflector. Thanks!

What specifically?

I'm just trying to see where I might have gone wrong? The 5x7 proofs I got in looked great.

I used the silver side of a 5in1 model similar to this (external link)but I am pretty sure mine is only 48" on the long side.

Are you sure you didn't do any whitening of the eyes? The eyes look unnatural, as if they were painted with a white brush, then drawn around with a black brush. If all you did was sharpen the eyes, than I wonder if the sharpening did something strange to them...? I'd like to see what some of these look like straight out of the camera.

What I see as the issue is that the SKIN is over processed, leaving the eyes sharp while the skin is way too smooth. #5 and #6 especially around the forehead/hairline. Skin seems a tad blotchy. Maybe it's the PP work you did to the skin that is causing the eyes to stand out so much?

Absolutely no eye whitening, at all.

Skin is very lightly processed. I shot wide open so some of this is from that.
