For those of you that don't know, the SMWYG is an annual contest we've been running here on POTN. It's called "Show Me What You've Got" and runs from Nov to March. It's a weekly contest (one photo per week) that is judged by a panel of judges (all photographers on this board). Then the weekly winners are put in a pool and judged by another panel of monthly judges. 3 monthly winners move on to compete in the SMWYG photographer of the year pool. The winner receives a new title, reflecting the winning of the contest.

The past rules are listed here (there is no gift card anymore...that was inspiration to get the original contest off the ground, but I do think this year, I will offer the winner a calendar):

https://photography-on-the.net …php?p=3966199&postcount=1

and if we run the contest this year, a photo release will be added to the rules, so that the winning photos may be published in a 2011 calendar.

SO, all this to say, if you are interested in running the contest, please post here and let me know. It's a huge commitment for the judges (which is why we run it in winter...it's mostly during our slow photography work time) so, I just want to make sure, before I ask them again to commit, that's it's something you guys would like to do.

thanks
Lisa
