The middle of May - that's the best! You should be able to see grizzlies then. And there will be snow in several places. Blue grouse will be doing their outrageous mating display. That is very encouraging, Tom. I have been twice...once as a 12 year old and once we took our son about 20 years ago. Now we are looking forward to a grown-up visit with cameras instead of kids.:lol:

We're thinking of taking in the rut next year in RMNP. It's a pretty big place. Do you have any recommendations on what part to head to for elk, or a suggestion on where to stay?
