Becky, your talk of Baxter's affliction has kinda gotten me a bit weepy acting, thinking of Ben and his last days, what with him having a more serious tonsil affliction, tonsillar sarcoma.

Awwww, Jim. I don't remember you saying exactly what his diagnosis was. {{{hugs}}}

Dan, Cat, Becky...and anyone else who's interested. This is my favorite photographer at the moment. I love his stuff. It's so unlike mine but I love it. This is a 4 part video. Talks about what he does, what gear he uses, his favorite photos & why...and the business end. It takes about 13min. to watch all four of them but it's SO worth it.

Bookmarked, thanks.

See, they didn't scare me, but I sure had a good respect for them. I didn't love lighting the huge ones either, but the 2-4 inch ones were great fun. :lol: I was young and dumb, what can I say? :confused:

Oh me either...before...now, I think I'd rather be able to go home after work :lol:

What are those generators for? They are big!

On the coast (where I lived for the last 12ish years) 80mph is not uncommon. We tend not to get to excited about wind unless it goes into the three digits. :lol:

I miss those big storms on the coast. It always made me laugh to see a big storm alert on the Weather Channels and see everyone run TO the beach to watch.... then having to drive around the fallen trees and other storm created detritus to get back home. :D

I am curious...why is becky a sock?

Cuz I thought it was funny at the time. I mean, how many other comic strips have a sentient sock puppet on their list of characters? :D

I tend to ramble. Feel free to put me on ignore.

There is nothing minor about the injuries ;)
Serious things can happen with fireworks. One year, a Saturn Missile shot was set off by a little boy here...one of the little missiles went parallel to the ground instead of up and struck his sister in the temple. She didn't make it :(

You should see photos of illegal firework processing buildings....or really, photos of what was left of them.

Yep, I hide during the 4th of July. Or I stay a couple miles away from the city fireworks. I was burned by fireworks enough for this lifetime.:(
