Permie, the vid that you linked to earlier was really intriguing! Thanks for sharing it!

Play with fire you get burnt. Repost of my accident with fireworks (external link). The screaming ring in my ears right now is one constant reminder of that incident.

I used to work with real explosives (back in my engineering days). To this day, I consider it a miracle that I survived that business more or less intact. The poor fellow who inherited my job after I left was killed in the line of duty.

That's a nasty business.

I don't know if any of you have Pick Up Stix restaurants where you live, but they have the coolest dragon in their commercials...

We had one in Palm Desert, but it closed just a few months after it opened. Too bad.

I had some training in demolition as part of my diving in the Navy. I developed a healthy respect for explosives after seeing what just a blasting cap did to a steel combat helmet...

The food is unremarkable, especially after you've eaten in a true Asian restaurant, of which we have a number of good ones in San Diego. I get a kick out of their TV commercials, however. I think they're better than the GEICO gecko commercials. The dragon doesn't talk...

Dan, Cat, Becky...and anyone else who's interested. This is my favorite photographer at the moment. I love his stuff. It's so unlike mine but I love it. This is a 4 part video. Talks about what he does, what gear he uses, his favorite photos & why...and the business end. It takes about 13min. to watch all four of them but it's SO worth it.

Saved to look at in a bit.

Cat... I'm watching 50 First Dates. Is that where your fish abuse habit started?

 No. Monty Python. But I love 50 First Dates. :D

I am curious...why is becky a sock?

She is a sock puppet. And she filled in for another character who couldn't make it for a scene. She's an actress you know. ;)

BTW H.A.R.T. is now #358 on the overall list. :D Still hanging at #4 on the Utah list....

YAY!

I voted for them on every piece of votable equipment I have. Dangit. I thought sure they'd hit #3 today.

I thought we'd move up today too. That's ok though. Our overall ratings have moved WAY up.

Just found out that one of the dogs we rescued last week is going to cost us quite a bit more than we were expecting to get her healthy. She needed some dental work, and what started as about $150 is now at $400 and climbing. Oi.
We need this grant money badly so that we don't have to worry about stuff like this.
