LOL! It was ultrasound day, Lonnie

I kinda had a funny feeling, way back in my mind, that might have been the case. But, when I first got the text I was a mite confused, briefly...

I've been amusing myself with making a GIF from Sunny's shots.

So, where's this tutorial you found on how to make these? I want to try one, sometime.

BTW, I got Minnie's new breast cancer awareness collar today. I'll get a photo or two of her wearing it tomorrow and send them to you.

We jumped back in the car and drove the 5 or so miles to the office, and actually got there fairly fast---maybe 15 minutes. Mom had left and was headed to the house. We turned around and headed back home ourselves, and that trip took over two hours. Traffic was complete gridlocked. It took some real ingenuity to find a route, but we eventually all met up there.

That reminds me of my drive from North Hollywood to Northridge shortly after the Northridge Earthquake had hit. My brother lived practically on the epicenter and after a couple hours of no phone service and listening to the radio and hearing where it had hit the heaviest, I finally drove to his house. I made it, but that sure was one crazy drive! As I always did, I drove west on Vanowen, then turned right on Tampa. I only got a couple miles up Tampa before I saw that train in the distance that had derailed and was laying on it's side across Tampa Blvd. And, there was a wall of flames in front of it from all the gas mains that had broken. So, I started hunting for alternate routes and side streets. It took another hour or two for me to get from there to his house, a drive that would have taken no more than five minutes on any normal day...

and Congrats Bobert. I don't know how I missed that post. I think Lonnie is invisible.

I KNEW IT!!! (Maybe if I start coloring all of my text pink, people will notice me better...)

Wow, Nov. That's a long time.

Three weeks isn't really all that long...

JWright wrote in post #8840154 (external link)
I think we all got that this morning...

I doubt Bobbert has everyone's phone numbers. I'm pretty sure even I don't...

Thanks Lonnie. I haven't even taken our dogs with them yet (they came last week). I was going to take Kona down to the train station but was too tired last night. Hopefully I'll have a break in the weather soon.

Back from a big hike, sweating like crazy. I wore a fleece and ball cap to start but soon doffed them. THEN the sun came out. Dang, I musta lose 10 pounds of liquids. Oh well, it is time to clean up and head to the football game. I am sure I will gain back some of those fluids there. :p

I am always up for one of those, but only if Jim is suitably clad ;-)a

That could be classed as wardrobe discrimination, you know.

My gosh it's pouring here. Dan drove to Boring for me, so that I could watch Hale & tidy up here. It was so sad though, because our Sirrus subscription ran out (we got a couple of years free when we bought the car) so he's without his sat radio. He's bummed.

My free XM subscription only lasted 6 months. At first I kinda missed it, mostly for a couple blues and comedy channels, but for the price they want, I think I will just listen to my iPod when the radio stations suck.

Thanks. I bookmarked for when I have some time (and photos) to try this out...

BTW, I'm curious. Do we really know when Maggie's birthday was? Or, was the date picked so she could celebrate with Kona?

I've only had two pets in my entire life whose exact dates of birth I knew. They were my first two cats, Puppy and Remington. I no longer remember either's birthday, though.

Edit: Hahahahahahahahaha! My shadow turned pink!

In the past, we normally just assigned birthdays to the dates we included pets into our family. They didn't seem to mind too much.

We really know it's today. Because that's the day I picked. Sometimes I feel invisible, because I already explained this. :p Cat's group estimated her birth time around this time of year when I got her. I recently settled on this date because of its auspiciousness. :D

I only got three free months when I bought Ellen. But, I liked it enough to renew for two years (the longer of a period, the cheaper the rate). By the end of that two year period I was pretty tired of it, though, and I canceled.

Another year or so later, I decided I missed it enough to reactivate and this time I only paid for one year. My current subscription will expire in January, and I won't be renewing again. I really am tired of it this time. I'll miss channel 164 (the old radio dramas), but it just isn't worth the money to keep subscribing when that's all I listen to any more. I can find those old shows online, if I spend a little time with a search engine...

My brother has a big shindig for his Rottweiller every year, but then, he knows the exact date when King was born. That's the only family dog we've ever had whose birthday either of us ever "celebrated"...

(Yeah, I got tired of the pink text, too.)

I really, really, really, really miss the old days when I had enough free time to keep up in here and know things like this without asking...
