BTW, Just got to use this BECKY, thanks a lot!

Glad it helped you out. Nice views.

Sorry to hear about your accident, hope everything realigns on you and your vehicle.

Sounds like I missed something. Either way, Sorry you're feeling that way Lisa. Seeing you step away from a photography business makes me feel like I did when Barry Sanders retired from the NFL too early.

I had to take a double take on this and Lisa's comment. My boss' name is Barry Sanders, trust me no relation what so ever. I totally forgot about the NFL player with the same name, though it certainly came up when Barry first came to the company several years ago.

There's a big hurricane West of Mexico. They say that it could get up to a Cat 5 on the Saffir-Simpson scale. Looks to be heading for some major league tourist areas. Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Acapulco, etc.

The unfortunate name for this monster is "Rick".

C'mon, really? Rick? That's the best they can do?

Rick isn't scary. Rick is a name for a guy that's on your bowling team. Rick borrows your gardening tools. Rick works in some Cube Farm downtown. Rick is not a name for a monster hurricane.

I mean, can you hear it? "Ooo! Run for the hills! Rick cometh! Rick will slay us ALL!"

Can you recall any monsters named Rick? Rick von Dracula. Dr Jekyll and Mr. Rick. Rick, the Terror of the Deep!

Not happening.

The only thing that can save this is if the great minds down at the Hurricane Naming Center tried to change Rick into something slightly Baltic, like, "Vrick" cuz, you all know, all the cool scary names start with two consonants, the first being a "V". Or maybe if they changed it to some sort of viral sounding name like "Rickotosis" or "Rickanoma"

Seriously, Rick for a hurricane name is pretty weak. It's about one step above calling a hurricane, "Dude" or "Pal".

This brings up a need for some changes to the Naming procedure for hurricanes. I don't think hurricanes should be named until we can see how bad it's going to be. There could be an "A" list, where the names for the really nasty storms, Cat 4's and 5's, could be stored. Vlad. Octavian. Dan. And then a "B" list for those storms that never really do impressive storm stuff. Never make landfall or just sort of get close to South Carolina and say, "Aw, forget it. This is stupid." For those storms they can be called Larry, Rick or Bobert.

Just something I was thinking about.

May I quote this in an e-mail to all my brothers and other family? Middle brother's name is Rick.:lol::lol:

Pick the ones that apply:
  • We're no longer worthy.
  • Actually, when they're bigger, we can see all the mistakes
  • I couldn't keep up the extra payments for the server strain
  • People were getting afraid of Zane
  • The Zombie Union complained about Deb's avi being defamatory.
  • Helium leak down at the plant
  • Bad Oysters.
  • Neil in flower print boxers. 'Nuf said.
  • Rabid jealousy from the Non-Avi'd moderators caused a ruckus in the Mod forums. This was an olive branch
  • It's an optical illusion caused by an acute case of vertigo.

:p:p

Earlier, there was some dialogue concerning whether or not dogs should be "fixed". Excellent points were brought to the table on both sides of that particular fence.

I would like to put in my 2¢ worth.

If a dog owner wishes to keep a **** "intact", fine. I think it's great. The one thing I think is imperative in that matter is that the boy dog, the unbitch, have a job and is willing to give some financial support to family he created. I'm tired of these absentee Sires that "love 'em and leave 'em". For me, I would like to say, "Hey, Dawg, pony up the cash for what you started here!" You know, not much, the occasional bag of GOOD dog food, some flowers ever so often, taking the pups out for a stroll in the field to give the Mom a break. You know, taking some of the responsibility for the whole pack health.

That's all, I don't want to belabor the point. Just wanted to get that out there.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

I was just getting a kick out of everyone saying, "****".

I remember when I was a kid, no one cussed at the house. So imagine my surprise when Dad came home, looked at our female dog and said, in a derogatory way, "That dog is such a ****."

I thought it was the coolest thing in the world.

Well, until I started saying it, too.

Parents are so unfair at times.

Yes, yes they are.

Delays or long lay over? Sounds like a long day for the family, hope the kids go right to sleep when they hit their own beds.

Delays.

They had two issues with the plane and had to get them a new one.

Me too. At least it is a short hop from Chicago to PA. Do you know how long of a drive once they land?

I don't think it's much of a drive. I hope not at least. I thinks it's only an hour or less.

If they're flying into Harrisburg, it's only about 15 miles to Hershey.

If they're flying into Philadelphia, it's more like 100 miles.

I made some pickled ginger last night. It turned out pretty well, although the smell got me in a little trouble with my housemates.

You have more than one?

Technically, yes. My bro-in-law is visiting this weekend. Also, the cat has been looking a little strange, and she's staying out of the kitchen.
