Sure, I even showed Leyla.

I saw them is someone's yard while walking around in S.E. Portland. The diversity of plants and flowers in some of the yards this time of year is really nice.

Never do business with family. It seems to leave hard feelings for everyone.

I do business with family all the time, and it has never been a problem. They are glad to have someone they can trust working for them. I do know this is not the case with all families, I don't quite get it, but know it to be true.

Pick the ones that apply:
  • We're no longer worthy.
  • Actually, when they're bigger, we can see all the mistakes
  • I couldn't keep up the extra payments for the server strain
  • People were getting afraid of Zane
  • The Zombie Union complained about Deb's avi being defamatory.
  • Helium leak down at the plant
  • Bad Oysters.
  • Neil in flower print boxers. 'Nuf said.
  • Rabid jealousy from the Non-Avi'd moderators caused a ruckus in the Mod forums. This was an olive branch
  • It's an optical illusion caused by an acute case of vertigo.

Pretty sure it was the oysters.

There's a big hurricane West of Mexico. They say that it could get up to a Cat 5 on the Saffir-Simpson scale. Looks to be heading for some major league tourist areas. Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Acapulco, etc.

The unfortunate name for this monster is "Rick".

C'mon, really? Rick? That's the best they can do?

Rick isn't scary. Rick is a name for a guy that's on your bowling team. Rick borrows your gardening tools. Rick works in some Cube Farm downtown. Rick is not a name for a monster hurricane.

I mean, can you hear it? "Ooo! Run for the hills! Rick cometh! Rick will slay us ALL!"

Can you recall any monsters named Rick? Rick von Dracula. Dr Jekyll and Mr. Rick. Rick, the Terror of the Deep!

Not happening.

The only thing that can save this is if the great minds down at the Hurricane Naming Center tried to change Rick into something slightly Baltic, like, "Vrick" cuz, you all know, all the cool scary names start with two consonants, the first being a "V". Or maybe if they changed it to some sort of viral sounding name like "Rickotosis" or "Rickanoma"

Seriously, Rick for a hurricane name is pretty weak. It's about one step above calling a hurricane, "Dude" or "Pal".

This brings up a need for some changes to the Naming procedure for hurricanes. I don't think hurricanes should be named until we can see how bad it's going to be. There could be an "A" list, where the names for the really nasty storms, Cat 4's and 5's, could be stored. Vlad. Octavian. Dan. And then a "B" list for those storms that never really do impressive storm stuff. Never make landfall or just sort of get close to South Carolina and say, "Aw, forget it. This is stupid." For those storms they can be called Larry, Rick or Bobert.

Just something I was thinking about.

Hey!!!
Are you forgetting my first name is Richard (Rick). Man, now I am feeling totally emasculated.

BECKY, fun balloon pics. You will do great in one once you get up, I bet. :D

When one has an 11 month old Lab and sees he isn't real happy about you leaving the house without him, one really must listen to gut feeling and use the crate, especially if there are some decorations out.

Jasper does that, but only to ones given to him. We usually leave Jasper in the yard when he has to get left behind, but if both of us are gone, there is often a good chance on of the kids will be home. I think I remember something that you don't have a fenced yard, right?

Long day. Working, hiking, football, working, movie.....

Tomorrow we will be moving some stuff back into our upstairs rooms, the last coat went on the hardwood yesterday, so as long as we are careful with it, it should be fine. I have to do the baseboards and stuff first though. No rest for the wicked. :p

Correct, no fence. And if we did, unsupervised Lab outdoors = digging, lots of digging.

He will get it, I'm sure, in the meantime I have read his moods and act on my gut feeling.

Eye slamming = rafter time....G'Nite all.

All of the non-moderator Puddletars, with a couple of exceptions, have been reduced in size. Some are still larger than normal, but others have gone back to normal.

I reduced mine. Seems fair.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Hurricanes used to all have female names. It was based on the fact that they were wild and exciting when they were coming and when they left they took your house and car.

They're not as big as they used to be. When my shadow turned pink, my Puddletar also got a lot smaller in the process.

I think someone doesn't want us mistaken for moderators, although I don't know how that could possibly ever happen...
