A few shots from a recent visit to 'Monkey Forest', a woodland park in Staffordshire, which has around 140 Barbary Macaques roaming free.

Taken with 450D and EF-S 55-250 IS.

I'm fairly new to this so any C&C or suggestions to improve would be gratefully received.

Thanks for looking,

Mike.

Excellent shots...that 55-250mm is quite sharp for the price. I would love to shoot monkeys, but we don't have them here. I guess it's time to take a trip!

Great shots. #1 looks so childlike. How close were you?

Ajosteve, probably your hairy tourists act more like monkeys than bears!

Thanks ajosteve, I've been pleased with the results from that lens so far. We're lucky to have a facility like 'Monkey Forest' so close. They do make a great subject.

Thanks Phil. I was probably no more then 6 feet from her. She was lay in the grass next to the walkway with a second monkey sat grooming her. They seemed so relaxed, and very comfortable around people.

Cheers,

Mike.
