I know this shot has been done many, many times, but I was out at yellowstone for two weeks earlier this month and how could I not take this picture? This is my first real attempt at nature and landscape photography. I shoot sports, journalism and commercial. Definitely had a blast shooting something new to me.

Final image taken from two bracketed images, mixed into CS4 with Nik filters, and wrapped with a 4x5 overlay. Shot digitally with a 5dmkII at f/16, 1/6, ISO100.

Wow, what a powerful shot. Just looks a bit too contrasty and a bit heavy on the blacks.

Why is the border broken at the top left and right?

Well, its a fake, aka photoshop. Here's one of the originals, but I used two bracketed images with a few tricks of Nik filters and other layers exported from the same Raw images.

Fake or not it is beautiful. I may have to play around with a few and see what I can come up with to. Thanks for sharing!
