Hey guys,

First off, my first post! Yay!

Anywho, I spotted this guy over on another forum. From what I've seen/read it's basically a Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home clone, same bag, just without the fancy crumpler logos. It's only $25 too! Check it out, could be a sweet deal for some of you who need an awesome bag.

I ordered one. I'll keep you posted. It certainly looks like a deal.

There is a thread on them here, seems like a nice bag:

I'll have to think on this. I could get this, sell the 7MDH and get an 8MDH. That kinda defeats the purpose I know.

Actually I'd like a 6MDH version. They don't have the color I want for the 7MDH anyhow.

why would somebody put $$$$ camera gear in a cheap bag that could break or tear?? To me spending 10% or less the value of your camera and lens is the minimum I would pay.

What makes you think that these bags would break or tear? The construction is identical (or nearly identical) to the MDH series...

I think you would be very surprised to learn that most designer brand name items cost less than 10% of the selling price. The majority of the cost is in brand recognition which include advertising, marketing, sponsorships, brick and mortar presence, etc.

Google it. You will really be shocked. The leading pocketbook brand has a manufacturing cost of just 8.4%!

Is the one linked to in the OP definitely a 7MDH clone? Because the thread linked to is about a 5MDH clone. If they send to Australia then I might pick one up if it's a 7MDH clone!

Edit: I just went through the checkout process and choosing their "Canada Post Worldwide Expedit" option, postage is $73.45! Our dollars are nearly identical and that brings it up to AU$100 and that's just not worth it.

Why order one of these crappy versions for a bit less than a real 7MDH and not get the cooler non-American Crumpler bags?

I got my Versa bag yesterday. It was at C$20 when I ordered.

It is very well constructed, certainly do not look or feel like a cheap camera bag, and certainly not a crappy bag. If you'd like to pay $100 more for 2 LOGOs, thats your choice. I do have some expensive equipments, and I don`t like to carry them in a bag that screams`EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT INSIDE`

I owned and used many Lowepro, Tamrac and Kinesis products. This bag's construction quality is equal or better than them. But I don't have or used any Crumpler bags, so I can't say how close it is to Crumpler's.

Sig Electronics' only drawback: All sales Final, I found that out only when I open the package, and the invoice was RUBBER STAMPED with that note. In reality, does it make any economical sense to return a bag that cost $20..........

I'm trying to judge the size of this bag, as SIG doesn't provide any interior shots on their website. Is it the same size as the Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home (below)?

QUOTED IMAGE

Yes
Friend brought his real bag... set it next to mine... we couldn't tell them apart other than the logos...
I also ordered the largest since

The one on the site is the 7MDH. Check the dimensions people.
