I shot some birds directly above me with a blue sky and saw - I think its called light fall-off in the corners.
Cropping it out is no issue of course, but try for yourself shooting a blue sky and note the corners. I'm not complaining, I know its common in likely the majority of lenses, and I imagine had I shot at f/8 instead of f/5.6 it 'may' have helped.
I hope Canon updates the 50D firmware to include the 15-85mm lens to correct the fall-off issue as it has for all but the most recent.
Does DPP recognize lens issues and apply correction? I think if I recall it does, and addresses the 15mm barrel distortion and other issues. ... I think.
anyways, not birds, but here are a few from less than a week ago. 24 & 15mm (15mm showing its barrel distortion, I don't use DPP...if I shoot @15mm - guess I should :confused
