Ions,

Most excellent technique with the "nifty fifty" at f/2.8 IMO. Must have been very close. Thanks for the quick reply...

Thank you. Yes, I had the lens flush with the glass of an aquarium.

yep

want to play with FF a bit again (I wish I'd thought of what I'm trying BEFORE selling the 5Dii). I also want to compare the 5D to 7D the same way I did the 5Dii and 7D. I also wonder about the 7D's IQ with higher ISOs... There's not much noise, but sometimes it feels like it's taking some detail out? I've yet to finetune my 7D PP, that's for sure... But I KNOW the 7D will stay for video, fps and long lens work. I might just use the 5D as well around the house.

I also want to see how a 5D does in LR3. Oh, and finally? Just because. I like testing things out to answer questions and ruffle feathers so why not?

can't wait to see your results! i purchased a 5D recently as well for the heck of trying FF. My PP skills are extremely limited and basic so most of my stuff come straight out of camera and in jpeg. i do find that the 7D is better than the 5DC in terms of high iso performance, but maybe it's just me.

either way, i enjoyed your last test and look forward to the next one. thanks for doing it dood! :)

Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas

Shot last December. I may have posted this before but don't think so. There are some "fuzzy" rain drop areas due to the rain hitting the lens.

Got the wife a new P&S. Was time to update her old Olympus P&S from 2004. ;)

All shot w/ f/1.4 for shiggles (and because I was too lazy to slap on the ext flash).
The "G".

And here I thought Canon was Japanese... (Although one of the few Japanese words that doesn't end in a vowel, Nikon as well...)
