Getting so particular about barrel distortion is something I will never understand. You can also just make a selection of the entire image, hold control, and drag the corners to skew it manually until everything straightens out. Not as accurate as lens correction, but works for a quick fix if you're worried about horizons or building verticals that are slightly off. Portfolio

If you're into photography for fun, then yes - it does not really matter. I've done a couple shots for local real estate companies and I can tell you that having uneven edges/distortion is unacceptable (in that particular market). Looks great!
