Also would depend much on what your primary shooting is going to be. You probably have more options with the 7d as you get get more telephoto, and something like the 10-20mm or the tokina 11-16 can get you WIDE if you need to. Plus the video is updated on the 7d over the mk2. However, mk2 should provide less noise (but result in the sale of you 17-55). You can't go wrong with either headache! Kevin
