Some great photos in this thread! Gives me a huge headache though. Do I save for a 7D or a 5Dii...?

your 17-55 says to me that the 7d would be the headache of choice. Also would depend much on what your primary shooting is going to be. You probably have more options with the 7d as you get get more telephoto, and something like the 10-20mm or the tokina 11-16 can get you WIDE if you need to. Plus the video is updated on the 7d over the mk2. However, mk2 should provide less noise (but result in the sale of you 17-55). You can't go wrong with either headache! :)

You can't go through life being completely sarcastic or cynical or serious, it makes for a boring life! It is something I am trying to change day by day! I will work harder on making good jokes! :)

it's a reaaaally clean shot. natural light in the afternoon?
would love to see trailing needle.

It was around 6pm or so. All natural lighting. I had to underexpose like you see on the exit to keep the ambient light from the window out.
I'll try the trailing needle soon.

Your Lancer has 4WD? It's an 08 Outlander. I believe the newer Outlanders have a nice blue dash.

no no no....I'm all about 'bad' jokes. Can't tell you the number of times that my wife looks at me and goes..."Oh Kevin"....or just ignores me:)

I'm adding this not because it's 'cute' or that it shows any technical expertise, or is a potential photo contest shot, but because the AF (which is tracking awesome), the speed (can't believe the difference from the 50d) and the ISO. This is ISO 5,000 with the only change done to the shot is fixing WB so it wasn't AS bad as when I shot it.

Should have revved a bit so the RPM needle would have had a trailing light!

Even neater if the speedo was up about mid-scale. I've got one wrapped up around 97MPH, but not with a 7D, so I won't post it here.

Wish my 7D would arrive...B&H messed up the shipping method and it won't be here until Monday.
