Probably should be in Market Watch forum?

Sandisk currently has a rebate out there. I think it is valid until January.

Adorama just head this 3 pack at $299 the other day, with 11% cashback from Bing.com and the $200 rebate from Sandisk, it will work out to be about $23.00/card.

But it looks like the price went up $50, and the cashback deal is over. :-\

Oh ok, I've gotten numerous rebates the Visa Prepaid card now. I just take them and buy a gift certificate of equal value right away from whatever store and go from there. If I can't think of a store I just buy grocery store gift certifcates, you know that'll eventually be spent.

They are accepted anywhere visa is.

Anyways, good luck on your search!

I Use Ebay, as they are so expensive in Canada, and only buy from "sinceritytrading" it is from Hong Kong but they ship within a week.

The Sandisk rebate ended on Sept 30th at Adorama, Sandisk just released a new model of CF Cards so they might reduce the price, I do love the rebate on the card I just bought that reduced the price to $49 after the $65 rebate but it does suck that it is given as a VISA card, you can't use them over the internet to make a purchase, or I have never been able too. It is difficult to get the cash register people at some places to use them without summoning a manager. I tried to use a VISA card at Staples and the lady could not get it to work, the manager came over and hit a few keys and it was taken.
Then the guy behind me had one he pulled out, in the space of about 2 minutes she had forgotten what code or the sequence and had to call the manager back again, but she was loud and dirt dumb.

It's back on: "Offer valid only for purchases made between September 27, 2009 and January 2, 2010 in the U.S. from one of the participating retailers listed on this form."

Here's the link to the form:

Thanks for that link. Their, deiivered price,Transcend cards are almost exactly the same as here but the Sandisk are considerably cheaper. If I knew about them a few days ago I would have bought the new Sandisk Extreme 400x instead of the Transcend 300x. A LOT cheaper for the Sandisk.

In fact I think I WILL order the Sandisk anyway.

PS: I just did. 400x 16gig :-)

The last time I received the visa cards instead of a check for a rebate, there was a letter stating how to redeem it for cash. I hope the one's from Sandisk are the same way. I took advantage of the recent $200 rebate,

Yeah I got 2X 16gb for $180CDN shipped as a gift so no tax on top of that or import fees, where as here 1 16gb costs $190CDN they were brand new in boxes sealed and I am very happy. I bought numerous times and the guy is really good. I directly avoided ebay as well for a bit more savings and he followed through just a very trustworth seller IMO. Hope all goes well for you. PM me and let me know what you think when it arrives.

For Canadians, newegg.ca has pretty decent prices for CF cards. Standard shipping is reasonable and no brokerage fee even though they ship through UPS.

I received the new Sandisk 16 gig EXTREME (60mb). Delivered cost was $105cdn. I tested it against a 16 gig Transcend 300x and it is slightly faster so not a "fake", imo.

I immediately ordered another one :-)
